GUWAHATI, June 13 - Till late Friday night the Kamrup (Metro) district administration has screened altogether 21,057 people, including 42 defence personnel coming from outside the State, for coronavirus infection. Among them 2,974 people are under institutional quarantine, 4,597 have been put under home quarantine and 13,486 have been released.
Moreover, at present 1,199 people are under quarantine at different institutions and bhawans and 1,243 have been quarantined at different hotels.
From May 4 to June 13, altogether 21,599 incoming passengers have reported to the district administration. Among them 2,395 have been put under quarantine at Sarusajai Stadium and 12,464 are at different hotels. As many as 13,486 people were released from institutional quarantine during this period.
Today altogether 338 passengers arrived at the LGBI Airport and Sarusajai Stadium. Among them, 41 were put under quarantine at the Sarusajai
Stadium and 150 at different hotels.
Additionally, between May 13 and June 13, altogether 4,696 people have been sent for home
quarantine after being screened at Sarusajai and other places.
Significantly, following the surge in COVID-19 positive cases, the Kamrup (Metro) district administration has notified altogether 67 containment zones till date in Guwahati and most of them are still in active stage.
The active containment zones are Japorigog, Borbari, Bishnupur, Dhirenpara, Pub-Sarania, Bathou Nagar, Krishna Nagar, Central Jail premises, Indrapur Hill Top, Lichubagan, Arihan Apartment, Syamkanu Apartment, Hajongbari village, Bhaskar Nagar, Sarabbhati, Athgaon, Hirapara village, Christian Basti, Bishnupur (Bharalumukh), Shantipur, Satgaon, Sankar Nagar, Dhirenpara, Athgaon (SJ Road), Lamb Road, Kushal Nagar, Birubari, Athgaon Pukhuripar, Barsapara, Rupnagar, Netaji Vidyapith Railway HS School, Fatasil Chariali, Silpukhuri, Housing Colony (Ghoramara), Netaji Vidyapith SH School, Pragjyotish Housing Colony (Block-M), Satgaon Army Camp, CISF Camp (Guwahati Refinery), Mangaldeep Residency (Lalganesh), GS Colony (Fatasil), Tokobari, KC Sen Road (Paltanbazar), Sankarpur (Birubari Tiniali) and Uzanbazar Railway Colony.
