Over 200 train passengers reach Dibrugarh today

DIBRUGARH, May 16 - Altogether 229 passengers including a few passengers of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Meghalaya, alighted from the special train today at Dibrugarh Railway Station in Banipur here.

Among the 229 passengers, 99 are from Tinsukia, 60 from Dibrugarh, 23 from Dhemaji, 11 from Lakhimpur, 6 from Sivasagar, 11 from Charaideo, 3 from Golaghat and 2 from Biswanath Chariali of Assam.

The passengers from the neighbouring States include � Arunachal Pradesh (11), Nagaland (1) and Shillong (2). The authorities stationed at the railway station campus have sent four Dibrugarh passengers for hospital quarantine after getting all screened at their respective health screening camps on the spot.

Further the passengers who arrived Guwahati yesterday by Shramik Express train were brought to Dibrugarh by buses today. After primary health check up at the Victoria Girls� HS School, Dibrugarh, seven passengers of Dibrugarh have been sent to quarantine centres in the city while five passengers who reportedly came from West Bengal and were kept in quarantine in Jorhat have been sent for home quarantine on their arrival here.
