GUWAHATI, Sept 26 - The total number of unemployed people registered at the 52 employment exchanges of the State up to December, 2017, was 19,63,376, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary informed the Assembly today.
In a written reply to a question, Patowary said of the total unemployed people 13,56,612 are male and 6,06,764 are female.
The employment exchange at Guwahati has the highest number of enrollment for both genders, with the figures for registered male unemployed and female unemployed being 2,07,920 and 77,725 respectively.
