Over 1,000 join BJP in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR, Dec 16 - In a meeting organized by BJP Krishak Morcha in Sivasagar Yuva Dal auditorium yesterday, over 1,000 members of NSUI, Congress,Sangrami Yuva Monch, Aaikya Sena, AGP, CPI and other organizations joined the BJP in the presence of BJP�s State organizing secretary, Phanindranath Sarma, Minister of State for Revenue and Disaster Management Jogen Mohan, Jorhat MP Topon Kumar Gogoi, MP ( Rajya Sabha) Kamakhya Prasad Tassa, Thowra MLA Kushal Duwori, BJP district president, Surovhi Rajkumari, BJP leaders Anup Shing Rajput, Indrani Phukan Tahbildar, Bhaben Mohan, Bitupon Raidongia, Bijit Gogoi, Jitu Hazarika, Dr Harswati Chakravarty, Dr Angshumita Gogoi, Binita Saikia, Hariprasanna Hazarika, Hirakjyoti Barman and president of different mandals.

Addressing the meeting, Phanindranath Sarma, said that BJP provides a new platform to the the youths to share their views with the seniors of the party. Under the bold leadership of Sarbananda Sonowal, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and Ranjit Dass, the state is now on the path of development.

Welcoming the new members, Topon Kumar Gogoi said that the new generation is attracted towards the party because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi�s dedicated leadership winning the hearts of the global citizens. He added the BJP-led coalition in the state is providing houses to the homeless, land to the landless, and succor to the needy and the deprived in record time of four-and-a-half years. Kamakhya Pd Tassa said that the common agenda of all Opposition parties is to oust the BJP as they are envious of its track records, but they would never be able to do that. It would be unjust to compare BJP�s four-and-a-half years achievement with INC�s five decades achievements, as some bogus intellectuals often do, he added. Minister Jogen Mohan welcomed the new members and urged upon them to work dedicatedly for the nation.
