GUWAHATI, July 20 - In a significant event, two students of Jawaharlal Nehru College at Boko in Kamrup district, namely Akash Kalita and Nabin Daimary secured first class first and first class second positions respectively in the recently-declared BSc results of Gauhati University in Mathematics, a press release received here stated.
It may be mentioned that both the students cleared JAM (joint admission test in MSc conducted by IIT). Akash Kalita has already secured admission to Tezpur University for pursuing his masters degree in Mathematics while Nabin Daimary is all set to pursue further studies at IIT, Guwahati.
While Akash Kalita hails from Boko, Nabin Daimary comes from an economically backward family of an interior village named Kurhiamari in Dhupdhara of Kamrup district.
It is expected that both these students shall shine even further in their future studies and bring glory to their respective localities, the release concluded.
