GUWAHATI, June 12 - Members of the Ahomgaon unit of Assam Senior Citizens� Association, recently conducted its first ever outreach programme in the form of a cleanliness and tree plantation drive in the Garoghulee neighbourhood, an interior place in Guwahati city, said a press release.
Around the same period the Ahomgaon unit of Assam Senior Citizens� Association also conducted another outreach event in collaboration with the social forestry department Guwahati Division with full support and cooperation from Garoghulee LP School, the Durga Mandir committee and local inhabitants.
The event started on the Garoghulee Lower Primary School campus with plantation of saplings by the chief guest Matilal Basumatari, DFO (SF), Guwahati Division, the press release added.
