Opium, Yaba tablets seized

GUWAHATI, Nov 29 - Government Railway Police on Friday seized 5 kg of opium drugs and 14,000 suspected Yaba tablets at the Guwahati Railway Station and arrested two persons in this connection. The arrested persons have been identified as Roshan Baniya (32) and Sukhbir Singh (50).

�A�train�checking�party arrested the duo during two different checks. They seized 70 small packets of suspected Yaba tablets from the procession of Baniya, a resident of Manipur, from platform No.4 of the railway station. He person was coming from Dimapur and was travelling to New Jalpaiguri,� a GRP source said.

�Sukhbir Singh, who hails from Amritsar, was carrying the drugs to New Delhi. He had boarded the Rajdhani Express in Guwahati,� the source added. Two cases have been registered.
