BONGAIGAON, April 23 - A joint operation by the Army and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has been continuing against top NDFB(S) leaders G Bidai alias Bishnu Goyari and K Batha alias Binod Mushahary for the last two days in Manas National Park and Chirang-Ripu Reserve Forest in Chirang and Kokrajhar districts.
Two groups of about 1,000 and 800 security personnel are continuing search operations in the two dense forests respectively. Specially trained dogs, helicopters and paratroopers have been used in this massive hunt, army sources said.
The militant duo carries a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh each on their heads since 2015.
