GUWAHATI, Sept 9 - City-based Hayat Hospital conducted the Saturday evening OPD clinic at the Guwahati Press Club today where three physicians, Dr Nasimur Riaz (diabetologist), Dr Pragyan Kalita and Dr Himadri Acharya (senior resident) offered free consultations to over 30 participants.
Health workers, Champak Das, Renuka Barman, Lakshmi Rani Roy, Kebalina Sangma and Bhaskarjyoti Kunwar supported the physicians.
The participants also got their weight, blood sugar and pressure checked in the camp. Hayat Hospital officials namely Ayaskanta Chakraborty and Paragjyoti Dutta were also present during the clinic.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day, a physiotherapy camp was organised on 8 September at the Press Club for the benefit of its member-journalists. The free camp was conducted by senior physiotherapists Dr Kangkan Talukdar, Dr Lopa Das, Dr Pankaj Das, Dr Pooja Saikia, Dr Chinmoyee Boruah and Dr Lav Gahire.
The next weekly clinic, organised under the �Evening with a Doctor� programme, will be attended by SIMS Chennai Hospital�s ortho-surgeon Dr Appaji Krishnan. The camp is scheduled for September 15 from 3 pm to 4.30 pm.
