Online system at Karimganj Civil Hospital

KARIMGANJ, May 1 � The online system will be introduced at the Karimganj Civil Hospital and for this purpose, the civil hospital authorities are taking necessary measures. The facilities at the hospital will improve after the introduction of the online service.

Besides, the hospital management committee has decided to sign an MoU with the Karimganj Municipal Board to clean the civil hospital. Kamalakshya De Purkayastha, MLA and chairman of the management committee of the civil hospital, claimed that the Karimganj Civil Hospital is the first civil hospital to be brought under the online service. For the purpose, a meeting of the management body was held at the conference hall of the Joint Director of Health Services where S Gohain Barua, DC, GK Agarwal, DSP (Sadar), Iman Ali, Joint Director, Health Services, Dr Anup Daimary, Superintendent of the civil hospital were present.

MLA De Purkayastha disclosed that after the introduction of the online service, patients will receive better health services in the hospital. The MLA has also sanctioned Rs 3 lakh to repair the lift of the hospital. He said that during the month of March, the Karimganj Civil Hospital earned Rs 1.20 lakh, whereas the figure for February was Rs 80,000. Municipal workers will clear the garbage of the civil hospital once a week, said De Purkayastha.

A technical committee was formed in the meeting, which included the Joint Director, Health, Superintendent, Dr Karim, Dr D Paul and Dr P Chanda.
