GUWAHATI, Feb 24 � ONGCL became overall champions in the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Inter Unit Bridge Tournament which concluded at Hotel Nakshatra here last evening. The BPCL team came second in the overall championship. Sanjeev Kumar and Giri Kundu of ONGCL were adjudged as best pair in the championship.
The ONGCl C team comprising of Namit Sharma, Alok Kumar, AK Mishra, SK Sarkar, Sanjeev Kumar and Giri Kundu clinched the Team of 4 event while their B team emerged winners in Board A Match. The team members were � Namit Sharma, Alok Kumar, AK Mishra, SC Sarkar, Kamaleswar Rai and DN Sinha. BPCL and IOCL (AOD) became second teams in Team of 4 and Board A Match respectively.
Sanjeev Kumar-Giri Kundu duo won the Open Pair event while their teammates M Dey-H Karamchandani took the second place. In the closing function, G Phukan GM Pipeline Operation, D Phukan, GM Pipeline Services, Rajen Gogoi, president Indian Oil Workers Union, Tridib Duvarah, manager PR (co-ordination) gave away the prizes.
