GUWAHATI, Sept 29 � ONGC Dehradun clinched the title in the All India Invitation Basketball Championship.
In the keenly contested final played at the NF Railway Indoor Stadium here this evening ONGC defeated Indian Overseas Bank of Chennai 60-51. The half time score was 33-22 in favour of the winning team
Earlier, NF Railway Sports Association won the third position defeating Railway Coach Factory 71-66 in the play off match.
The champion team walked away with a purse of Rs One Lakh as prize money while IOB and NF Railway became richer by Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively.
The championship was organised by NF Railway where six leading teams of the country took part.
In the closing function Renu Chandra, president NF Railway Women�s Welfare Organisation, gave away the prizes.
