One nabbed with firearms in Khetri

JORABAT, Nov 24 - One Aliston Rahang (35) was nabbed early this morning by a joint team of Khetri Police and CRPF G 128 Bn for illegal possession of handmade firearms and tools used in making arms, from Noonmati village under Khetri Police Station.

Three handmade single barrel muzzle load (SBML) guns, four raw wooden pieces shaped to be made into guns and many tools and instruments required to make guns and arms were recovered from his possession.

The police have filed an FIR against the person for illegal possession of the arms and ammunition, and arms making tools. However it has not yet been ascertained if he belongs to any particular outfit, informed sources at Khetri Police Station. Police interrogation is on.

NGO office set on fire: Unknown miscreants partially burnt down the office of an NGO, SP Memorial Siksha Niketan in Mohpur village under Sonapur Police Station around 1 pm today.

A dumper used in the construction work of the NGO�s office was also partly damaged in the fire. No casualty was reported.
