One more virus death in Manipur

IMPHAL, Dec 4 - Manipur has reported one more death due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. The virus toll in the State has now touched 295.

One male person aged 62 years from Thoubal district has expired at the JNIMS Hospital, stated Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, spokesperson of the Manipur Health Department today.

Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, 150 civilians and five Central Armed Police Forces personnel were confirmed positive. The new cases were detected at 21 testing facilities in the State.

On the other hand, 273 persons, including 151 under home isolation, were discharged from 10 COVID care facilities in the past 24 hours, it added.

The cumulative number of positive cases in Manipur is now 25,691, while the numbers of active and recovered cases are 2,951 and 22,445 respectively. The recovery rate of the State is 87.36 per cent.
