One more test positive in Jorhat

JORHAT, June 2 - One more person tested positive for Covid-19 as result of the test done at JMCH came out this evening.

Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Roshni A Korati informed that Akon Bora (55yrs/male) of Choladhara Jorhat, a returnee from Uttar Pradesh, tested positive today.

Bora, who was in quarantine and asymptomatic, has been shifted to JMCH, the Deputy Commissioner said.

The Deputy Commissioner further stated that total number of positive cases in Jorhat now was 22, out of which 16 were active. Korati stated that 39 patients of Golaghat, six of Sivasagar, three from Tinsukia and one from Majuli were undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at the JMCH. The total number of active cases in JMCH was 65, she added.
