IMPHAL, Aug 8 - A 63-year-old man who had comorbidities, died due to COVID-19, taking the death toll in Manipur to 11. As of Saturday, Manipur has a total of 3,635 positive cases after the detection of 169 new cases. The active and recovered cases stand at 1,697 and 1,927 respectively.
Meanwhile, four doctors and a nurse of a government public health centre (PHC) in Manipur have tested COVID-19 positive, official sources said today.
On the other hand, the residences of five persons who tested positive outside the quarantine centres in Tamenglong district, have been declared as containment areas. The five positive persons have been shifted to the COVID Care Centre at the Tamenglong Higher Secondary School.
