GUWAHATI, Dec 29 - The BJP-led government has distributed 2.28 lakh pattas during its term and another one lakh would be given next month.
Replying to a cut motion in the State Assembly today, Revenue Minister Jogen Mohan said the total number of landless families in the State identified by his department stands at 3,74,805.
�We have so far distributed 2,28,160 pattas, including both allotment and settlement pattas. Another one lakh pattas would be distributed soon. We hope to meet the target in January. Of the 1 lakh we intend to distribute, around 65,000 are ready,� he said.
