DOOMDOOMA, Jan 30 - One Manki Ho was seriously injured when a gang of dacoits that broke into his residence on Thursday night fired on him with a country-made gun.
According to information, a gang of seven to eight dacoits armed with country-made fire arms broke into the victim�s residence at Disa Govindapur under Doomdooma police station at midnight and demanded money in the name of banned outfit ULFA. When Ho refused to give money, the dacoits fired in the air to threaten him. But, a bullet hit him.
The dacoits looted the cash found in the house, three cellphones and an ATM card and fled the spot. Later, Ho was rushed to AMC Hospital, Dibrugarh. The police have launched a case in this connection. However, no one has been arrested so far.
