GUWAHATI, Nov 21 - The Crime Branch of Guwahati police along with the staff of Sonapur police station seized narcotic substances from an artist Debasish Baruah alias DJ Brahmin of Bhetapara area of the city at the Sonapur toll gate today.
A police source said that on the basis of a tip-off, the team intercepted a bus coming from Lakhimpur to Guwahati at the Sonapur toll gate and searched the luggage belonging to Baruah.
The team seized charas weighing 445 grams in 28 packets, cocaine weighing 43 grams in two packets and ecstasy drug (Skype tablets) weighing 25 grams which were kept concealed in a black coloured music speaker.
A case was registered in this regard and further investigation is under way.
