SHILLONG, Sept 23 - BSF has apprehended one person for illegally trying to cross over the international border in Meghalaya�s South Garo Hills district, officials said.
The BSF troops apprehended the person yesterday while he was returning from Bangladesh after visiting his relatives at Purbadhala village in Bangladesh, BSF sources said.
Meanwhile, on Thursday 15 cows were seized from Umsyiem village in East Khasi Hills district in a special operation by BSF teams, he said. The special operation party laid a trap while some smugglers along with cattle were proceeding towards Bangladesh and seized the cows, he said. � PTI
