UDALGURI, Jan 30 - One 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing a minor girl at Tarajuli village under Rowta police station in Udalguri district, the police said.
The body of 16-year-old victim, identified as one Bimala Devi of the same village, was dug out from the bank of Dhansiri river.
The accused, identified as Rishiram Sarmah, allegedly buried the body after killing her on January 20. The Rowta police got the lead after tracing the mobile phone of the accused.
The cause of the killing was suspected to be a love affair between the two. However, the police are interrogating the accused to get the clue.
