One held for killing child

DHUBRI, Oct 19 - In a joint operation, the Golokganj Police and Labdanguri Police arrested one Meskar Ali, for allegedly killing a seven-year-old boy after kidnapping him.

Ali was arrested from Poragaon village of Baksa district on Friday. It may be mentioned that a case was registered after a student of Gyan Jyoti Academy, Anisur Rahman went missing on October 11 from Balajan area while he was returning home from his school. The body of the school child was recovered on Tuesday from Kalahat area, which is one kilometre away from his home, under Dhubri police station. The body was recovered in a very deplorable state. Police said that the accused Ali is a relative of the deceased child and he took took this brutal step after a family feud.
