GUWAHATI, Jan 24 � Oil India Limited (OIL) will host the 33rd PSPB Inter Unit athletic meet from January 28 to 30 at the Sport Authority of India complex at Paltanbazar here where more than 200 athletes representing ONGCL, IOCL, HPCL, IOC(AOD), EIL, GAIL, NRL and OIL will be seen in action.
Addressing a press conference here today, working president of organising committee Hiren Bora (manager, admin, OIL) and secretary Tridib Duvarah (manager of PR and coordination OIL) said international athletes as well as Arjuna awardees like Chitra K Soman, Kavita Rout, Mandeep Kaur, Harwant Kaur, Anil Kumar and others will be here for the meet. Altogether 25 different events will be held which includes 6 different events for veterans and women.
The opening ceremony will be held on Janaury 28 at 11 am where Chairman and Managing Director of OIL SK Srivastava will be the chief guest. The closing ceremony will be held on January 30 which will be attended by NK Bharali, Director (HR & BD) OIL as the chief guest.
OIL officials SK Rai, Bhupendra Singh Shera, Phani Kalita, Jadab Kalita, Gautam Hazarika, PK Das were also present in the press meet.
