GUWAHATI, March 18 - A workshop on the Right to Information (RTI) Act-2005 was organised by the Oil India Limited (OIL) at a city hotel here today for its officers, according to a press release issued here.
The workshop was inaugurated by HS Das, retired Chief Information Commissioner, Assam, in the presence of OIL�s Resident Chief Executive Pranjit Deka, Chief General Manager of Pipelines Headquarters, Guwahati, Samir Kumar Das, and Chief General Manager-cum-CPIO of the company, Prasanta Borkakoti.
The workshop focused on the key provisions of the Act, landmark judgements relating to it and the best practices to be adopted to assist citizens seeking information under its provisions.
Samudra Gupta Kashyap and SN Rahman conducted the technical session at the workshop that was attended by 40 executives from different spheres of the Oil India Limited, the press release added.
