By Sports reporter

GUWAHATI, Sept 20 In yet another one-sided affair of the 63rd Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy Football Tournament at the Nehru Stadium here today, former champions Oil India Football Club, Duliajan, posted a thumping 6-0 victory against GSA Super Division outfit Navajyoti Club.

With todays win, the Duliajan boys stormed into the quarterfinal stage.

Manash Manjit Chetia opened the Navajyoti sluice gate in the 12th minute anticipating a pass from F Wary. Defender Jyotish Basumatary enhanced the margin in the 24th minute with a header off a flag kick taken by Mintu Boro.

After changing over, the OIL boys came out with renewed vigour and pumped in four more, outwitting the opponent in every step. Mandila Rongmei netted the third goal in the 49th minute with a sharp volley from a crowded penalty area. Nigerian striker Tauras Tecomplech Mannch scored the fourth goal off a eye-catching pass from Rongmei in the 67th minute. F Wary made it 5-0 in the 73rd minute with a solo effort and finally it was substitute Zaidinmawia Hmar who completed the rout in the 85th minute.

Fresh from title-winning form at Mangaldai and making into the semifinals at Nagaon, all the OIL players looked in good touch. With better ball control and team work they hardly allowed the local team to take control of the situation.

Dhabesh Daimary and Ishak Sangma tried a little in the later part in the OILs striking area but they were prevented from doing any damage.

Todays match: ASEB vs CAG, Delhi.
