MORIGAON, Nov 22 - Riding on a solitary goal scored by Milan Basumatary Oil India Football Club, Duliajan emerged champions in the 48th Motiram Bora Football Championship defeating Assam Rifles Soccer Team.
The all important goal was scored in the 57th minute after a dry first session at the Khirod Baruah Stadium here today.
Oil India custodian Nihal Das was picked for the best player award.
State Minister Naba Kumar Doley, who is also the president of the Assam Football Association was the chief guest in the closing function.
The championship was organized by the Morigaon District Sports Association in collaboration with district administration.
