GUWAHATI, Sept 13 � Oil India Limited (OIL) has made a contribution of Rs 70 lakh to the Chief Minister�s Relief Fund to help the State Government alleviate the sufferings of the flood-hit people.
The cheque was handed over to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi by SK Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director of OIL, at his official residence at Khanapara on Friday, a statement by Tridib Duvarah, Manager, PR & Coordination, OIL, said.
Srivastava expressed concern over the grave flood situation and the consequent hardships suffered by the people. The Chief Minister lauded OIL�s benevolent gesture and wished the company success in its hydrocarbon exploration and production ventures in the State.
