GUWAHATI, April 10 - Following reports from other parts of the State about alleged penetration of �plastic eggs� in the market, the Kamrup Metro district administration has directed the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) and Food Safety Department officials to check the markets of the city. �There is an alleged penetration of plastic eggs in the market. We have asked the GMC and food safety officials to check and report. As of now, no complaints or reports have been received, but the district administration is monitoring closely,� said Dr M Angamuthu, Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metro.
