IMPHAL, Aug 12 - Unidentified gunmen shot at and injured a man from Odisha in Imphal�s Thangmeiband area on Sunday night.
The injured man was identified as Jagalbadhu Malik (29), a resident of Jaipur district of Odisha, who has been staying in Imphal for the last six years and is engaged in pipe-fitting works.
Malik was shot at while he was walking with a friend in Thangmeiband Thingel Maru area under Lamphel Police Station, police said.
A bullet hit his chest on the left and exited from the right side. He was admitted at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital in critical condition. Police are investigating the incident.
