GUWAHATI, Dec 15 � The Cabinet, in its sitting here this evening, decided to adopt Sahityarathi Lakshminath Bezbaroa�s O Mur Apunar Desh as the State anthem.
The Government will soon hold talks with different organisations, including the Asam Sahitya Sabha, to ascertain the correct notations of the song.
The Cabinet also decided to increase the age limit for direct recruitment of college principals to 55 years. The Cabinet further decided to provide social security for workers in unorganised sectors, including small tea growers.
