NU students close down varsity office

By A Correspondent

KOHIMA, March 19 The Postgraduate Students Union (Nagaland University Campus, Kohima) today closed down the university office indefinitely demanding immediate resumption of classes.

The postgraduate students of the campus who are on strike since yesterday said the teachers of the varsity have been boycotting classes since March 8 and demanded that the imbroglio between the teachers and the university authority be resolved so that the students are not made to suffer.

Unless and until this problem is resolved, the crisis will go on, the Union said in a release while also warning that the indefinite strike may even get worse if their demands are not met.

Today is the last day of submission of forms for filling up some vacancies in the university. On the other hand, scrutiny of degree answer scripts is also being done.
