DIMAPUR, March 30 � It is official now. Y Wangtin Naga and P Tikhak, the two expelled leaders of the NSCN(K) Cease Fire Supervisory Board (CFSB), have announced formation of a new political group. They were expelled by NSCN(K) chairman SS Khaplang on March 27.
Earlier in 2011, the NSCN (K) split when Khole and Kitovi formed the GPRN/NSCN(KK).
The two, in a joint statement, stated that their new party �would work for peace and national reconciliation and build a better society for the Naga people�. The two leaders stated that they are free to serve the people at their best as Khaplang had expelled them from the NSCN(K).
They said they had been freed to join the Naga people through the reconciliation process; free to give, however small contribution it might be in building a new and better Naga society.
They recalled the two decades of association with the NSCN(K) led by its chairman SS Khaplang. In the joint statement, they said they stood by Khaplang against all odds and had difficult time to get the NSCN (K) cease-fire back on track keeping in mind the interest of the people.
The two leaders said Chairman Khaplang was always misguided, misrepresented and misled by a handful of people. They said that SS Khaplang has fallen prey to a handful of people whose only agenda was to �mint money in the name of political movement� and not actually work for the cause of the people.
