DIMAPUR, May 10 � The NSCN (K) has hit out at Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju for his statement in the Lok Sabha on May 5 saying, �NSCN (K) with its Myanmar-based leadership is mainly interested in extortion and has nothing to do with Naga issues�.
The NSCN (K), in a release, said the �mindset of an opportunist leader like Rijju is responsible for exacerbating the crisis further.� Rijiju had made the statement in a written reply to Dr Thokchom Meinya, MP from Manipur in the Lok Sabha.
It said, �the arrogant posture of Kiren Rijju is not only insensitive and immature but exposes his own ignorance of the history of independent Naga republics.�
