NRL to hold marathon on February 21

GUWAHATI, Feb 8 - The Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) will organise the Numaligarh Marathon on February 21 at Numaligarh.

Taking forward one of its CSR focus areas of promoting sports and sportsman spirit in the region, the NRL is organising the marathon with the theme - Run to keep fit. The Marathon will commence from Numaligarh High School at 6.30 am and culminate at NRL Township ground. The competition will have three categories : 3 kms-Run for fun, 5 kms-Dream run and 10kms- Endurance run.

Prize money in each category and separate prizes will be awarded to male and female participants.

Several sports celebrities and known faces in other fields have already supported the event out of which several have confirmed their participation including the likes of ace boxer and world champion MC Mary Kom, former Indian hockey captain MM Somaya, Mr Universe Mahadev Deka, Arjuna Awardees Bhogeswar Barua, Monalisa Baruah Mehta and Kamlesh Mehta.
