GUWAHATI, April 22 - The Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) observed its 25th foundation day today. It was on this day that the company was established in 1993.
NRL Managing Director P Padmanabhan unfurled the NRL flag at NRL Corporate Office, Guwahati, in the presence of Sr. GM (HR) NRL, A K Bhattacharya, GM (Mktg & BD) NRL, B Ekka, employees, associates and contract workers present.
He also planted a sapling on the corporate office campus to mark the occasion. In his address to the employees, he expressed pride at being a part of an organisation like NRL. However, he added that the company would remain relevant only if it continues to uplift the society around. Business success apart, compassion and concern for the people are what will make NRL sustain in the long run, he said.
In order to mark the silver jubilee year, celebrations have been planned for the week between April 22-29, which will include an eye camp in the neighbouring village, distribution of bicycles to the students of 40 schools around the refinery, literary and cultural competitions in nearby schools , blood donation drive, etc.
