Now, CA exams to be conducted in Dibrugarh!

DIBRUGARH, Aug 21 - From now on, the Chartered Accountancy (CA) students can appear for their Foundation, Intermediate/IPCC and Final examinations from Dibrugarh as the city has been selected as one of the examination centres for Chartered Accountants Examination, informed Chartered Accountant Pravin Kumar Jain, the chairman of the Dibrugarh Branch of Eastern Indian Regional Council (EIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Even chartered accountants appearing for post qualification courses like ( ITL & WTO)-Part I and International Taxation-assessment test (INTT-AT) can also opt Dibrugarh as their examination centre. This makes Dibrugarh centre the third examination centre for CA examinations in the entire North Eastern Region after Guwahati and Tinsukia. CA examinations are held twice a year, generally in May and November.

Jain stated that there was a long-standing need for examination centre at Dibrugarh as lot of CA students were pursuing CA course from this region. �Students from Dibrugarh and nearby areas were facing a lot of hardships as they had to opt for other centres for their exams .Now with a centre in Dibrugarh, students would save lot of travel time and also expenses. With the opening of the centre in Dibrugarh, CA students from not only from Dibrugarh town, but also from towns like Moran, Sivasagar, Jorhat, Dhemaji, North Lakhimpur and Itangar, Arunachal Pradesh would benefit a lot,� Jain told newsmen.

He further informed that the examination would be held at DHSK Commerce College, Dibrugarh, the premier educational institution of the town. He expressed his gratitude for the instant support received from the Principal of the college, Dr Khanindra Mishra Bhagwati in giving his consent for the examination centre.
