GUWAHATI, Dec 5 - Noise of Silence is the first Bollywood feature film on the NRC, set against the backdrop of Tripuras scenic beauty, a press release received via e-mail stated. The films plot encompasses two seemingly separate narratives touching one another through various incidents. One narrative follows the journey of a girl belonging to the Rohingya community of Myanmar, who comes to India in search of her lost mother. The other narrative showcases the strife in the life a man struggling to get his wifes name in the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

The lead actors are Firdaus Hassan from Mumbai who is known for his roles in Sanju, Veer-Zaara, Lakshya and Mukkabaaz, Puja Jha from Mumbai who had acted in A Bitter Pill, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 and Ek Battey Do and Hrishie Raj of Tripura, who has acted in several Kokborok and Bengali movies. Another Tripura artiste, Sayantika Nath, makes a debut in the film. Director of the film Saif Baidya said, I am lucky to get my first Hindi feature film shot in Tripura. The culture, food and weather were so perfect to shoot the film. Associate producer Joysankar Bhattacharjee suggested Tripuras name when I was scripting the film in 2018. He told me about Chabimura, showed some amazing pictures and videos, and told me that it is connected to Bangladesh. The local police force helped us a lot whenever we needed any location or area to shoot.

Satadeep Saha, co-producer of the film, said, I take immense pleasure in being a part of this movie. Working with this cast and crew was amazing. It was a beautiful amalgamation of Bollywood and Tripura actors. It is the first time that we have explored our beautiful State and shot a complete feature film here. It was great working with director Saif Baidya.

Joysankar Bhattacharjee, associate producer, added, This film will be a gateway to the Bollywood industry for actors and technicians from Tripura. It will be an inspiration for the entire North Eastern region. We look forward to having more such projects in the North East in future. We hope Noise of Silence will create some noise in the region as well as all over the country.

Shashank Chopra, Director of Photography, added: Tripura is so picturesque that wherever I put the cameras, I got an amazing shot.

Noise of Silence will release on OTT platforms.
