KAZIRANGA, Sept 8 - The Assam Gazette Notification has been formally published for inclusion of 7th addition area (Deosur Phalkhuwa, Deosur Hill PRF covering 276 hectare area), 8th addition area (Bandardubi covering 307 hectare area) in Nagaon district and 9th addition area in Sonitpur district covering 2570 hectare area) under the authority and jurisdiction of Kaziranga National Park.
Park Director P Siva Kumar said that with the publication of the notification every evicted land in Bandardubi, Deosur and one in Mokuwa Chapori had been included under Kaziranga National Park boundary.
It is worth mentioning that with the inclusion of 7th, 8th and 9th addition areas under Kaziranga National Park, every law and clause of national park under Indian Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 is implementable from now onwards.
Park sources informed that there were corridor connectivity from Bandardubi and Deosur towards foot hills of Karbi Anglong. So with the publication of the notification, the park authority will have more power and authority over the addition areas.
