GUWAHATI, Feb 6 � Maintaining their all win record in the six-team round robin league, North Zone clinched the title in the 40th All India FCI Inter Zonal Cricket Tournament.

In the final league match of the championship at the Judges� Field here today, North posted a six-wicket victory against Headquarters.

Batting first, Headquarters managed to score 137 for nine in 20 overs and in reply North reached the target comfortably with four balls to spare. Umang Sharma, who was later declared man-of-the-tournament, remained unbeaten with 70. East Zone became the second team of the meet with four wins while Headquarters took the third spot with three victories.

Brief scores: Head Quarters 137/9 (Rajinder Bisht 48, Chetan Sharma 24, Rohit Saini 23, Farhat Agasti 2/16, Akash Malhotra 2/25). North 140/4 (Umang Sharma 70, Kawaljit Singh 34).
