Imphal, Dec 29- A bomb suspected to be of low intensity pressure exploded near the gate of a workshop in Manipur's Imphal East district in the wee hours of today, sources said. However there is no report of any human casualties.
The incident took place at Telipati area under Porompat police station around 3.35 am.The land of the workshop area is owned by one Ramnath Sahu of Telipati, sources added. The reason behind the day's explosion was not known immediately.
So far no armed groups operating in the State have claimed responsibility for the incident till the filing of the report.
It may be mentioned that a powerful bomb also exploded at a pharmacy located at Lamlong area in Imphal East district on December 15.
