Guwahati, March 28: Assam-based artist Nilim Mahanta was arrested by Arunachal Pradesh Police for creating a graffiti of 'no more dams' and a resistance logo on a mural on the boundary wall of the state civil secretariat building in capital Itanagar on Sunday.
As per reports, a case was registered against Mahanta at the Itanagar Police Station following which he was arrested under the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984.
Meanwhile, a human rights lawyer from Assam was also arrested in this regard.
