North East Literary Fest concludes

GUWAHATI, Oct 22 - The North East Literary Fest, organised by the Royal Group of Institutions in collaboration with the North East Writers� Forum, concluded today.

The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Ruskin Bond, Adil Hussain, Upamanyu Chatterjee, Guru Rewben Mashangva, as well as many literary stalwarts from Delhi, Bangalore, Goa, Mumbai, Sikkim, Tripura, Manipur, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Assam like Geeta Dharmarajan, Preeti Gill, Sanjoy Hazarika, Jerry Pinto, Shinie Antony, Jahnavi Barua, Mamang Dai, Prof Bijoy Kumar Singh, Prof Pankaj Thapa, Rashmi Narzary, Patricia Mukhim, Anuradha S. Pujaree, Prof Bibhash Choudhury, Dr Rakhee Kalita, Dhruba Hazarika, Dr Shrutimala Duarah, Bhaskar Dutta Barua, Bandita Phukan, Prof Ashes Gupta, among others.

There were five panel discussions with eminent writers, book releases, meet-the-author sessions, screening of the documentaries, river cruise on the Brahmaputra, etc.

A panel discussion on �Northeast Perspectives - The Insider or Outsider� was a highlight of the concluding day. The panelists were Sanjoy Hazarika, Patricia Mukhim, Jahnavi Barua, Anuradha Sarma Pujari, Wasbir Hussain and Dr Rakhee Kalita.
