GUWAHATI, Sept 11 - The 17th North East Book Fair, organised by All Assam Publishers and Book Sellers Association, will be held from October 30 to November 8 at the Assam Engineering Institute playground, Chandmari, here. The organisers said that the focal theme of this year�s fair would be �Melodies of red river and blue hills.�
The book fair will be dedicated to the memory of litterateurs and educationists Dr Amalendu Guha, Krishna Bora and Dr Mohammad Taher. The seminar hall will be dedicated to eminent Parliamentarian and writer Hem Baruah. The main stage of the fair will be dedicated to eminent singer Khagen Mahanta.
A three-day literary fest has also been planned for which the organisers have approached the National Book Trust.
