Non-bailable warrant against Tripura ex-Chief Secy

AGARTALA, Oct 24 - A special court in West Tripura today issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against former State Chief Secretary Yaspal Singh in the multi-crore-rupee PWD scam in the State. Besides, Judge Gobinda Das also allowed the police to conduct a search operation at Singh�s residence in Gurugram near Delhi. Public Prosecutor Ratan Dutta moved an application seeking a non-bailable arrest warrant and permission for a search operation.

Former PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury and ex-Chief Engineer Sunil Bhowmik have already been arrested in connection with the case.

Official sources said that a Tripura Crime Branch DSP would go to Delhi to arrest Singh and conduct a search operation at his residence with the help of Delhi Police.
