No-trust motion against NCHAC CEM today

HAFLONG, Oct 16 - NC Hills Autonomous Council Chief Executive Member Debojeet Thaosen will face a no-confidence in the special session of the NCHAC tomorrow as per the decision of the Governor of Assam.

Prakanta Warisa, MAC, NCHAC on behalf of 18 members of the Autonomous Council, claimed that the present Chief Executive Member (CEM) has lost the confidence of a majority of the members of the NCHAC since as many as 18 MACs of the NCHAC have joined the BJP and requested the Governor for removal of the present CEM and formation of new Executive Committee.

It is learnt that the Chairman, Ngamrothang Hmar, who was not available at Haflong, has instructed the Council Legislative to issue letters to all the MACs regarding the special session which to be chaired by him.
