GUWAHATI, June 11 - The joint search operation carried out by the personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) in the Brahmaputra to recover the body of Trishna Das proved futile today.
The 17-year-old girl drowned in the river along with two other youths in the incident yesterday.
According to police, the NDRF and SDRF personnel carried out the operation up to the Panikhaiti area from the picnic spot Tapoban, where the incident took place on Monday.
