NORTH LAKHIMPUR, Nov 3 - The Lakhimpur district administration has called for strict adherence to the directive of not providing fuel to motorcyclists who do not wear helmets. The call, which was made earlier, was renewed again as the by-election to the Lakhimpur HPC has been approaching.
The district administration had asked all petrol pumps in Lakhimpur not to sell petrol to two-wheeler riders who do not wear helmets. But the order was not strictly followed due to which the administration renewed the call.
The Lakhimpur district administration has also urged supporters of various political parties to wear helmets while taking out bike rallies for poll campaigns.
