GUWAHATI, April 8 - No fresh COVID-19 positive case was reported from the State during the day, but contact tracing of the first novel coronavirus case in Tripura has led to around 25 persons in Guwahati.
When she visited Guwahati last month along with her family, around 25 persons came into contact with her here, sources said.
During the Guwahati visit, the patient visited around seven sites, including Kamakhya Temple and stayed in a hotel at the Paltan Bazar area.
She also visited Balaji Temple and Basistha Temple, besides Vishal Megamart at Paltan Bazar. At Kamakhya, she stayed at a home-stay for a night.
Health department officials said that screening and sample collection from those persons are under way.
At Kamakhya, eight persons, including a panda and his family, have been placed under home quarantine.
At Paltan Bazar�s Hotel Sukhmani, where she stayed, 15 persons have been put on isolation.
The district administration said further contact tracing is under way. �All the places are being sanitised,� officials said.
At the hotel room where she stayed, visitors from West Bengal and Hyderabad were also lodged later. These visitors are yet to be traced.
