KOKRAJHAR, Aug 31 - BTC chief and BPF supremo Hagrama Mohilary on Wednesday categorically denied the involvement of any ex-BLT members in the assassination of minority students� leader Lafiqul Islam Ahmed.
Talking to media persons, Mohilary made it clear that no ex-BLT members were involved in the killing of the ABMSU president. Ahmed was shot dead by armed miscreants at Titaguri Bazaar here on August 1.
Refuting reports in a section of the media in this regard, the BTC chief reiterated that a special investigation team (SIT) was probing the murder case, which had since been handed over to the CBI. Mohilary maintained that he would resign as the BTC head if the involvement of ex-BLT was proved in the assassination of Ahmed.
Meanwhile, the BPF chief also slammed BJP president Ranjeet Dass for his comments on the forthcoming election in the BTAD.
