NEW DELHI, April 28 The Centre today set at rest all speculations by denying that China has raised objections to construction of dams and roads in Arunachal Pradesh.

No such objection has been raised by China over road and dam construction in Arunachal Pradesh, said Minister of State for Home Affairs M Ramachandran in a Rajya Sabha reply.

Government of India, however, keeps a constant watch on all developments having a bearing on the countrys interest and takes all necessary measures to protect them, he added.

The Home Ministry further denied reports of Bangladesh Rifles jawans trying to infiltrate into Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya by raising red flags.

Ramachandran, however, added that some indications of dispute and difference in perception have been noticed regarding the issue of adverse possession on India-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya. The Government of India has taken cognizance of it and Government of Bangladesh has been apprised through the Ministry of External Affairs for appropriate action, he added.

Meanwhile, in a separate reply, the Minister said that the Government of India is aware about use of Indo-Bangladesh and Indo-Nepal border by suspected persons having links with terrorists in the Pakistan to enter India. The governments of Bangladesh and Nepal have assured India that they would not allow their territory to be used for activities against India, he added.
